I was blessed to welcome 2013 in Niagara Falls with the love of my life. A full Canadian recap is to come, but for now I'm welcoming a new year with pork, sauerkraut, and potatoes. Isn't that what everyone else does? How about the Mummer's Parade, Rose Bowl, and black-eyed peas for good luck? No?
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful start to the new year. Just like every other hopeful person, I have a few resolutions and this year I'm really hoping to stick to them. Perhaps if I post about them, you all will keep me in check? Wishful thinking...
In 2013, I want...
1. to stick to a healthy diet. I want to take care of my body and keep myself healthy. Note to self: healthy doesn't always mean stick thin.
2. to stop swearing. But let's be honest, this is SERIOUS wishful thinking.
3. to save money.
4. to travel, laugh, and have twice as much fun as I did in 2012.
5. to continue writing at least 1 handwritten note per week to a friend/loved one/Dane.
And I think 5 is just about where I start to lose track of all the things I want to do...like get to bed early after a night that may or may not have included an entire bottle of Cupcake wine, more rum and diets than I care to admit & a cheese platter.
Cheers to THAT, ladies and gentleman. What are your new year's resolutions? Or am I the only one who still does these things?

You're not the only one! I did my first ones this year. Never have done them before.
ReplyDeleteI love the one about the notes. I love getting notes but I never seem to write them. Happy New Year!
Yeah you better be traveling more this year...like to OH!! :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute post-- sounds like you had a nice NYE!! I'm personally not a fan of resolutions but its because I'm bad at remembering them and keeping true to them!

Those are such great goals for 2013! I especially like the handwritten note idea.

I went to Canada on a business trip and I visited Niagra Falls - gorgeous! Unfortunately, I didn't have any loved ones there to share the experience with but I'm still so glad I went! I definitely got lost OTW back to my hotel because my GPS died -- bad news bears! I had to stop at a Subway and ask a guy who spoke French for directions...and trust that he was giving me an honest answer!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!! So glad you got to spend it with Dane. Ya'll are precious together : )
